Synopsis

Wake Up, Girls just got their shot at idol stardom, but the road ahead is messier than any of them expected. With seven members—Mayu, Airi, Minami, Yoshino, Nanami, Kaya, and Miyu—and an inexperienced manager in Matsuda, they're vulnerable to people who'd happily exploit them for profit. Things fall apart fast when Green Leaves' president bails with most of the company's money. The new producer who takes over makes it worse, more interested in putting the girls in bikinis than actually promoting their music. Add some nasty rumors about Mayu's past in a competing group, and the whole team starts fracturing from the inside. They'll quickly learn that talent and ambition alone won't cut it. Friendship and a genuine love of music—that's what'll keep them from falling apart.
