Synopsis

Simulacrum is a peaceful, green country on the planet Daikuuriku that owes everything to the Simoun—flying machines piloted by priestesses called Sibylla. Powered by ancient tech, these ships can unleash Ri Maajon, devastating abilities that literally tear rifts in the sky. Aaeru is a headstrong girl who joins the Sibylla priestesses at Chor Tempest dreaming of piloting a Simoun herself. Right after she signs up, though, war breaks out. Hostile nations start attacking, desperate to get their hands on the Simoun technology, convinced it's the only way to save themselves from destruction. Now the girls at Chor Tempest are forced to fight, deal with real losses, and figure out what's actually going on with the Simoun and the Ri Maajon. It's their only shot at understanding the mysteries buried in the heart of their country—and surviving what's coming.
