Synopsis

After a helicopter crashes into a nuclear power plant during a terrorist attack, Japan's government cranks up the Media Betterment Committee's authority with new legislation. Journalist Maki Orikuchi realizes that author Kurato Touma is about to become a target—his novel's too similar to what the terrorists did—so she recruits the Library Defense Force to keep him safe. Meanwhile, the LDF's leadership is gearing up to challenge the MBC in court, arguing that the new law crosses constitutional lines. As the whole Media Betterment Act gets dragged into question, the members of the Library Task Force have to juggle personal feelings developing between them while dealing with a political situation that's rapidly falling apart.
