Synopsis

Young Kimball Kinnison is heading out to get a proper education when a Galactic Patrol ship crashes on his family's property. The dying pilot gives him a strange, half-sentient Lens that he implants in his hand—and everything changes. The Lens pulls him into a series of life-altering events: his father's death, a brutal space battle, and meeting Chris, a Galactic Patrol nurse. Driven by the Lens itself, Kim discovers a whole new world opening up to him. Before long, he's risking everything to save Chris and ultimately the entire universe.
