Synopsis

Satoshi and friends end up stranded in an unfamiliar wasteland, where they stumble upon a Water Pokémon performance by Hiromi, the star performer of the Mariner Troupe. Hiromi comes from a long line of Water People who can communicate with water Pokémon, and she shares an ancient legend passed down through her family: somewhere in the ocean sits the Water Temple Akuusha, built by her ancestors, and hidden within it is a legendary treasure called the Water Crown. No one's ever actually seen it—until Pokémon Ranger Jackie Walker shows up searching for it. Jackie's actually on a secret mission to protect Manaphy's egg. Manaphy, the Prince of the Sea and leader of all water Pokémon, needs to be brought to the Water Temple Akuusha. Satoshi and Hiromi team up with Jackie to help. But they've got problems: a pirate named Phantom attacks them from his submarine, desperate to get the Water Crown so he can use its power to take over the world. He needs to figure out the egg's secrets first. When Team Rocket gets involved, Jackie uses his Capture Styler to borrow nearby Pokémon's abilities to fight back. Satoshi and Pikachu jump in too, but they're still up against Phantom's advanced mechanical weapons. Then the egg suddenly bursts with light, and Manaphy hatches. So what's the real deal with this legendary treasure? What can Manaphy actually do? Will Satoshi and Jackie pull off their mission? The race to the Water Temple Akuusha is on.
