Synopsis

Manzai is a classic Japanese comedy format where two performers work together—one playing the straight man, one the comedian—trading jokes and sketches to keep the audience laughing. Mafuyu Kogarashi and Fubuki Kitakaze are two aspiring manzai comedians who've been grinding away without much to show for it yet. They regularly team up with their close friends Rin Araya and Nayuta Asougi, who are also getting into manzai, performing together in opening acts and supporting each other's sets. The four of them are determined to make it big, so they start taking risks—trying new venues, swapping roles, entering competitions, pushing themselves harder to improve. But first things first: they've got to get good enough to land amateur contracts and actually turn their comedy dream into reality.
