Synopsis

This film adapts the second half of Osamu Tezuka's beloved white lion saga. Leo's cub Lune becomes fascinated with humans after finding a music box in a crashed airplane. Meanwhile, a ruthless treasure hunter named Ham Egg leads a crew into the jungle searching for the legendary Moonlight Stones—said to be the solution to an energy crisis. Two other humans, the oddly-named Dr. Moustache and Lemonade, are determined to stop Ham Egg from destroying the jungle in his quest. Things get worse when a virus sweeps through and starts killing the animals, though Dr. Moustache manages to save them with a cure. The story builds to a dangerous climb up the mythical Mt. Moon, where the stones are finally within reach.
