Hiroya Matsumoto just landed a job at Raito Trading Company, hoping to follow in his late father's footsteps and become a dedicated employee. What he doesn't realize is that he's been hired into something way more unusual—a secret department called the Special Duty Combat Unit, or SHINESMAN, whose actual job is fighting off alien invasions. The twist? Even when Earth's under attack by the goofy (and sometimes genuinely terrifying) aliens from Planet Voice—led by their prince, Sasaki—Matsumoto and his team still have to deal with normal office stuff like meetings and deadlines.
