Synopsis

Han Li starts out as just another poor kid from some backwater village. He stumbles into joining a minor sect in Jiang Hu and somehow ends up as an unofficial disciple. The problem? He's got no special bloodline, no impressive talent—he's pretty much ordinary in every way. So how's he supposed to survive in a place like this, let alone actually get stronger? With mediocre cultivation aptitude, Han Li has to figure out how to advance without drawing the wrong kind of attention. The cultivation path is dangerous enough without making enemies. But as he grows stronger, he eventually finds himself caught up in bigger and bigger conflicts—battling demons, crossing swords with celestial beings, all while searching for his own route to immortality. It's the story of how an average guy manages to claw his way up against impossible odds.
