Synopsis

In 1999, humanity starts expanding beyond the solar system. The planet Gishin, ruled by Emperor Zule, wants to conquer the galaxy—and Earth is in their way. Zule decides the best solution is to destroy Earth entirely, so he sends an infant named Mars to infiltrate humanity and grow up among them. The kid comes with Gaia, a massive robot powered by a weapon capable of annihilating entire planets. The plan is simple: Mars grows up, activates the bomb in Gaia, and Earth gets wiped out. Except things don't go according to plan. Mars gets adopted by a Japanese family and renamed Takeru. Seventeen years later, he's grown up loving humanity and has zero interest in destroying his home planet. Problem is, if Takeru dies, Gaia's bomb goes off automatically anyway. Takeru has psychic abilities and joins Earth's defense forces, specifically an elite unit called the Crasher Squad. There, he and his friends make their stand against the Gishin invasion. To complicate matters further, his own brother Maag ends up fighting on the opposite side. What Zule doesn't know is that Takeru's biological father secretly created five additional robots alongside Gaia and sent them along to watch over his son. Whenever Earth needs them, Takeru can summon Sphinx, Uranus, Titan, Shin, and Ra—all five combine with Gaia to form the giant robot Godmars.
