Hao Ren was just a regular guy scraping by in a small fourth-tier city, living off the measly rent from an old house. Then one day while he's out working, he accidentally gets drafted as a "universe police officer." Before he can even wrap his head around babysitting a bunch of weird supernatural tenants his new bosses dumped on him, his jurisdiction—the Dream Plane Universe—is already falling apart. Something's going on connecting the mystery of how abnormal creatures ended up on Earth with the ruins scattered across that universe, and it's clearly not a coincidence. As Hao Ren digs deeper, everything goes sideways. An ancient cosmic disaster, a dead goddess, ancient buried secrets—they all come crashing down on him one after another. The more he uncovers, the more he realizes his days of coasting are officially over.
