Synopsis

Mary Lennox loses her parents to disease as a young child and is sent from India to England to live with her uncle. She's grateful for the security of her new home—a big mansion where she has food and shelter—but her uncle is withdrawn and quiet, leaving her isolated and bored. Stuck with painful memories, she's desperately unhappy. Everything changes when Mary discovers a locked garden hidden near the house. With help from new friends Dickon and Martha, plus her sickly cousin Colin, she unlocks its secrets. What starts as a chance discovery becomes the beginning of real friendship and healing for all of them.
