Synopsis

Kannazuki no Miko is set in the peaceful village of Mahoroba, where life moves at its own unhurried pace. Two students at the prestigious Ototachibana Academy couldn't be more different—Himeko is timid and hesitant, while Chikane is confident and graceful. Yet despite their opposite personalities, they're deeply in love, and nothing can shake that bond. On their shared birthday, a mysterious force possesses one of their friends and turns them into a threat. Just when things look hopeless, Himeko and Chikane suddenly awaken to dormant powers within them—priestess abilities tied to the sun and moon—and manage to drive the evil away. But that's just the beginning. They quickly realize they're going to have to fight off far more enemies, and even worse, some of those threats come from people they're close to.
