Synopsis

Ichirou Inuyashiki is a 58-year-old guy stuck in a miserable life. His back's always killing him, but that's nothing compared to how much his wife and kids can't stand him. The one bright spot is Hanako, a stray Shiba Inu he takes in. Then things get worse—a doctor tells him he's got stomach cancer and maybe three months left. He tries to handle it, but his family's coldness pushes him over the edge. He runs into a field with his dog and just breaks down crying. That's when something impossible happens. A blinding light engulfs him, and when he wakes up, everything's changed. He's been transformed into some kind of mechanized weapon wearing human skin. Weirdly, instead of freaking out permanently, Ichirou's compassionate nature kicks in. He uses these bizarre new powers to save someone, and for the first time in forever, he actually feels hopeful. But where did these powers come from? There was definitely someone else at that explosion site, and the big question is whether they're anything like Ichirou—or if they have very different ideas about what to do with this kind of power.
