Mary to Majo no Hana
Mary Smith is a clumsy girl with wild red hair who can't catch a break. After moving in with her Great Aunt Charlotte, she's bored out of her mind until she spots a cat that keeps changing colors. The cat's too interesting to ignore, so she follows it into the woods and discovers a clearing full of dead trees and brown grass—except for a cluster of strange blue flowers she's never seen before. The estate's gardener fills her in: they're called Fly-by-Night, a rare magical plant that witches are supposedly desperate to get their hands on. When the cat shows up again one night, it leads Mary back into the woods, this time to an old broomstick hidden near a twisted tree. She accidentally crushes some of the Fly-by-Night flowers against it, and suddenly the broomstick lights up and launches her into the air. She ends up crashing down at Endor College for Witches, where everyone mistakes her for a new student. Now Mary has to figure out how to survive in this strange magical world where nothing is quite what it looks like.
