Synopsis

Ajin—mysterious immortal humans—first surfaced seventeen years ago in Africa. Governments immediately classified them as threats to humanity, since they can't be killed and might use their powers destructively. Now, whenever one is discovered, they're arrested on sight. Kei Nagai is a high school student grinding toward a medical degree. He barely knows anything about Ajin beyond the occasional news story, and honestly doesn't pay attention in class when teachers explain they're not really human. That ignorance becomes a problem fast when he survives a car accident that should've killed him. He's an Ajin now, and his life becomes a nightmare—hunted by everyone. But as he hides from the world alone, Kei discovers something important: there are other Ajin out there, closer than he ever expected.
