Synopsis

It's 2065, and Earth is barely recognizable. Deadly aliens called Phantoms have infested the planet, and touching one means instant death or a slow decline. Humanity's only defense has been to erect massive force-field barriers around certain cities to keep the creatures out. Scientist Aki Ross and her mentor Dr. Sid think they've found a real solution. Their research points to a spiritual energy called Gaia that could permanently eliminate the Phantoms. They're not working alone—they've got support from the human council and a military unit called Deep Eyes. But plenty of people aren't buying their plan. Aki, Sid, Grey, and their team have to fight on two fronts if they want any shot at saving Earth. The Phantoms are obviously terrifying—one touch and you're done. But the human opposition turns out to be just as much of a threat.
