Synopsis

After bombing nineteen job interviews in a single day, Juri Yukawa's hopes of escaping her parents' house go up in smoke. She's stuck with her working mom Nobuko, her NEET brother Tsubasa, her unemployed dad Takafumi, and her sister Sanae who's raising a kid alone. The family's only real shot at having a functional adult is Juri's little nephew Makoto. Then everything gets worse—Makoto and Tsubasa get violently kidnapped by some mysterious group demanding a five million yen ransom, and the family has just thirty minutes to pay up. That's when Juri's grandfather drops a bombshell: he reveals he's got access to some seriously dangerous power. By bleeding onto their grandfather's mystical stone, Juri, Takafumi, and the old man enter "Stasis"—basically their world, but frozen in time for everyone except them. They reach the ransom location, ready to save the day, but things immediately fall apart. A group of people who shouldn't be able to move in Stasis are suddenly attacking them. Just when it looks like they're done for, a massive creature called the Herald shows up, and nobody has any idea what it wants or what it even is.
