Mitsuboshi Colors
Three girls living in Tokyo's Ueno district call themselves the Colors, and they've appointed themselves protectors of the neighborhood. In reality, they're just kids—the timid Yui Akamatsu, loud-mouthed Sacchan, and Kotoha, who's obsessed with video games—spending their days playing pretend and wandering around town. They've got help from Pops, an older guy who runs a shop full of random stuff he uses to fuel their imagination and keep them entertained. Not everyone's thrilled about the Colors' antics. The local cop, Saitou, has actual police work to do, and he's tired of being cast as the villain in whatever game they're playing that day. Still, he can't help himself—he always ends up going along with it anyway. So while the Colors aren't actually protecting anything, they do a pretty great job making the neighborhood a happier place.
