Synopsis

Hikaru's ordinary life gets turned upside down the moment he rescues Alma, a sentient mechanical arm that literally cries out for help. When Alma fuses with his jacket, Hikaru's suddenly thrust into a hidden world where mechanical arms are mysterious, living weapons that bond with their users. On the run and desperate, he eventually gets caught by Aki Murasame—a fighter with two mechanical arms who works for ARMS, an organization dedicated to protecting these machines from abuse. The problem is the Kagami Group, a ruthless outfit that sees mechanical arms as nothing more than tools to exploit. ARMS writes Hikaru off as a lost cause since he shows no natural talent for wielding these weapons, so they stick Aki with babysitting duty. That plan falls apart fast when Jun Kagami shows up and brutally tears Aki's arms right out of her body, basically signing her death warrant. Refusing to let that happen, Hikaru suddenly taps into some hidden power and takes Kagami down for good. With his newfound strength and a full membership in ARMS, Hikaru's now set on figuring out what mechanical arms really are—and keeping the people he cares about safe.
