Synopsis

Kiki is a 13-year-old witch who has to leave home for a year and make it on her own in a new city—it's basically a rite of passage for witches. She flies off on her broomstick with Jiji, her black cat, ready to figure out what being a real witch actually means. When she lands in the coastal town of Koriko, things don't go smoothly at first. She's broke and homeless until she meets Osono, a baker who lets her stay in exchange for helping with deliveries. That's when Kiki gets the idea to start her own courier service using her broomstick. As she builds this new life and learns what it takes to be responsible, she gradually finds her place in the community.
