Synopsis

The gods are real. They exist in secret, waging constant war that humans mistake for natural disasters—earthquakes, storms, unexplained catastrophes they can't control or escape. Sixteen-year-old Godou Kusanagi gets roped into this hidden world when he travels to Italy on a simple errand for his grandfather. What should've been a quick trip turns into a fight for his life when he's caught between two warring gods. With help from Erica Blandelli, a witch determined to protect humanity, Godou manages to kill one of them in combat. That victory transforms him into a Campione—a God Slayer—and now it's his job to take down Heretic Gods before they destroy everything. Being a Campione comes with baggage though. Other gods start lining up to challenge him, and he attracts a growing group of devoted followers (mostly female) eager to help him fight. Campione! follows Godou as he navigates an escalating conflict between divine forces, constantly pulled between heaven and earth.
