InuYasha the Movie 4: Fire on the Mystic Island
InuYasha Movie 4: Guren no Houraijima
Hourai is a mysterious island that surfaces for just a brief window once every fifty years. Locals have wildly different theories about it—some swear it holds the secret to eternal youth, while others are convinced it'll bring nothing but disaster. When Inuyasha's group rescues a half-demon girl from a creature hunting her, she introduces herself as Ai and reveals she's escaped from Hourai. It turns out Inuyasha knows her, and she desperately begs him to save her friends, who are trapped on the island by four demons calling themselves the War Gods. He's run into them before. Once they actually get to Hourai, things look grim. Only a handful of orphans are left on the island, and they're being held prisoner and groomed as sacrifices to strengthen the Four War Gods. Making matters worse, the demons have marked their captives with some kind of curse that keeps them from running. The only real option is to take the four demons head-on, but they're way too powerful for anyone to handle alone. The group's going to have to work together and get creative if they want to pull this off.
