The Dead Moon Circus won't go away, and things are getting worse. Nightmares are spreading everywhere, pushing Earth further into darkness. When a total solar eclipse causes Hotaru Tomoe to age unnaturally fast, the Outer Guardians realize something's seriously wrong. Convinced their prince and princess are in danger, they tap back into their powers and rejoin the fight. The eclipse starts messing with Usagi and Mamoru too—their conditions deteriorate and their powers weaken. Without their leader at full strength, the other Guardians are basically stuck. Frustrated and impatient, Hotaru and Chibiusa decide to take matters into their own hands and go after the Amazoness Quartet, who've been wreaking most of the havoc. But Queen Nehelenia's almost free, and time's running out to stop her.
