Synopsis

A struggling country doctor gets an urgent call in the middle of the night to see a sick patient. Things get weird fast—somehow supernatural horses materialize and whisk him instantly to the patient's home. The doctor's distracted and bitter about the people he works for, so he completely misses what's actually wrong: a grotesque, incurable wound. The villagers turn on him, furious that he's failed them (they always seem to expect miracles anyway), and he ends up cursed to an endless journey back home, stripped of everything he has.
