Synopsis

Set in 1960s Tokyo, this is the story of Shin, a poor boy whose life falls apart after his mother—his only family—dies. He's rescued by Itsuki, another orphan who lost his older sister. Together with Tae, a girl who can see youkai, they team up with Shin's guardian spirit Suu-san and various youkai to solve a mysterious case and bring back the souls of their lost loved ones. The series also serves as an origin story explaining how Lord Enma came to rule over the youkai world—and there's a shocking twist waiting for them along the way.
