Synopsis

Blazers are people who can summon weapons from their souls, and they train at Kouryou Academy High School to master this ability. The school pairs up students with partners, pushing them toward a legendary goal: achieving Absolute Duo, a state of perfect synchronization that grants overwhelming power. Tooru Kokonoe enrolls at the academy seeking strength after his sister and friends were killed by someone mysterious. Right at the opening ceremony, he's forced into a duel against his seatmate—lose and you're expelled. When the match starts, something unexpected happens: instead of a weapon, Tooru manifests a shield. This unusual ability catches the eye of Julie Sigtuna, a foreign exchange student.
