Synopsis

Takeshi Nanase's ordinary life gets turned upside down one summer morning when he finds an unconscious girl in an unfamiliar uniform. After helping her out, she accidentally awakens his latent magical powers—and suddenly, he's thrust into a hidden world he never knew existed. There's a whole separate society of magic users living alongside regular humans, and most of them are fine with keeping the peace. But not everyone. The girl who changed Takeshi's life, Mui Aiba, is a student at Subaru Magic Academy, where magic users learn to control their abilities and coexist with non-magicians. Inspired by her and wanting answers, Takeshi enrolls alongside his friends Kurumi Isoshima and Kazumi Ida, who also gain magical powers. Each of the three friends has their own reasons for pursuing this path—some running from their past, others chasing toward their future. They each develop different magical abilities that they'll need to master for what's coming. That something is the Ghost Trailers, a faction of violent magic users who believe they're superior to humans and are willing to fight to prove it. As the Trailers close in, Takeshi and his friends have no choice but to get stronger, confront the group's leader, and stop the Second Great Magic War before it starts.
