Synopsis

Satomi Oka's middle school choir just placed second at nationals, but instead of celebrating, he's convinced it's his fault. To make matters worse, he's about to graduate and step down as the choir's leader—so he's stuck dwelling on what he sees as his failure. Then a charismatic yakuza named Kyouji Narita shows up asking for his help. Turns out Kyouji and his crew compete in a yearly karaoke tournament, and losing means getting a custom tattoo designed by their boss. Not exactly appealing. So Kyouji wants Satomi to coach him and find the perfect song that matches his voice. Satomi's hesitant about the whole thing, but he agrees anyway and starts working with Kyouji at karaoke sessions. Whether these two unlikely partners can actually pull this off—or crash and burn trying—is another question entirely.
