Kikuri
A mysterious girl who first shows up in season two, episode 4 and keeps popping back throughout the season. Not much is known about her beyond the obvious: she's definitely not human. She can slip between the mortal world and Ai's sunset realm whenever she feels like it, often getting in the way of Ai's work with her companions.
You'll always know when she's around—there's this eerie lullaby that plays whenever she appears. Unlike Ai's cold, composed vibe, Kikuri's got a childlike energy that's way more chaotic. She pulls pranks constantly and seems to genuinely enjoy causing trouble, though whether that comes from actual malice or something else is still up in the air.
Weirdly, she's said she likes Ai, but her behavior tells a different story. She seems designed to maximize suffering and fear—she'll destroy things Ai cares about, chop up flowers, wreck stuff just for fun. She's got these completely blue and purple eyes (even the whites), which makes her stand out even more.
For some reason, she's genuinely skilled with her loincloth, using it to catch or smack things with surprising precision. And despite all the chaos she causes, there's one rule: she only takes orders from Ai. When Ai's grandmother tried to stop her from touching a spinning wheel, Kikuri went right ahead anyway, making it clear who's actually in charge.
