Rex King is one of Sunshine's top students and hails from the United States. His right arm is actually a T-Rex head and neck—called the Jurassic Hand—which is way more than just a prosthetic. It's actually his real head, and the human head he's got? That's fake. His brain lives in the dinosaur arm.
During his fight with Terry, things got rough. Terry caught him in a strangle hold that started turning the Jurassic Hand to stone, but Rex came back hard with some brutal attacks that nearly did in Terry the Kid. Mantaro ended up saving Terry by doing the one thing that works against a dinosaur: telling absolutely terrible jokes. The cold from the bad humor weakened Rex enough for Terry to finish him off with a devastating move that crushed his head to pieces.
Fans often note he bears a striking resemblance to Beast Wars' Megatron.
