The main character of the series. Adachi serves as class representative and later student council president, though she's best known for constantly hanging around with the delinquent Shinagawa. On the surface, she's the model student—respectful, dutiful, and always wearing glasses. Reality's a bit different.
She's actually a pretty terrible student. Scatterbrained, not particularly bright, lacking common sense, and totally oblivious to what's happening around her. She forgets people she's met and loses things constantly. Oh, and those glasses? Pure fashion—her eyesight is perfect. What really sets her apart are her fighting abilities, a leftover from her days as a genuinely terrifying delinquent in middle school. Back then, just hearing her name was enough to make people nervous. She's even gotten actual yakuza members to back down, which says something.
Her past is basically a mystery beyond the delinquent thing. She lives with her grandmother, who's apparently pretty weird. Adachi has a habit of blaming Shinagawa for literally everything.
Things get more complicated later on. Turns out she has a younger sister who goes to their rival school, Aaosuji Academy. The sister's got short hair, no glasses, and lacks Adachi's distinctive mole, and she's two years younger. She seems interested in Shinagawa too, which is why she changed her appearance. Adachi also has a brother who tried to run away to be with the sister, but Adachi told him to move in with Shinagawa instead. The brother's actually a genius who just pretends to be a delinquent.
