Fifteen years before the main story, a kingdom fell under pirate attack. The raiders took 500 soldiers hostage and their captain issued an ultimatum: make him king, or the hostages die. The desperate king was ready to cave to the demand.
Then word came that a World Government emissary had arrived. What showed up instead was a 13-year-old Rob Lucci—which only infuriated the king further. He figured the World Government was openly mocking him by sending a child to handle a crisis of this magnitude.
But Lucci's age was irrelevant. The kid walked up to the king with such cold authority that the king found himself terrified, despite the absurdity of fearing someone half his size. When the king begged him to rescue the hostages, Lucci shut him down hard: don't question how the World Government operates. The king left that conversation deeply unsettled—confused by this child who somehow radiated genuine menace.
