Edison is a young kid obsessed with robotics and inventing stuff, though he's more into the math side of things than puzzle-solving. He got genuinely interested in Kaito after seeing what Phi-Brain could do firsthand.
Early on, Edison came across as pretty self-centered, but honestly, that was just him being too young to really grasp the consequences of what he was doing. He's grown out of that phase. Nonoha nicknamed him "Q-chan" as a play on his name, and he's totally fine with it—doesn't seem to bother him at all.
