An archaeology professor at Domino University who's pretty much devoted his entire life to his work—sometimes to a fault. He's close friends with Mutou Sugoroku, and the two go way back.
He was married and had a son, but his obsession with his research meant his family got neglected more often than not. It's one of those cautionary tales about letting ambition swallow everything else.
