A Marine chef working under Head Chef Jessica, he stands out from the other galley staff by wearing a distinctive green ascot—the mark of his position as sous chef. When word got out that Sanji was a pirate, he and the crew were caught off guard and tried to apprehend him. But they weren't heartless about it; they also worried when they learned the Straw Hats were headed straight into the "fangs of Navarone." He ultimately sided with the cooks in pushing Jessica to let them use Sanji's curry recipe, proving he had his priorities straight.
