Yūra was a Sunagakure ninja who spent four years as a trusted advisor on the Kazekage's council—all while secretly working as Sasori's sleeper agent. When Gaara got kidnapped, Yūra was put in charge of defending the village, which made his betrayal all the more damaging. Once Sasori broke through his memory block, Yūra killed the gate guards to let Deidara slip into Suna.
Later, Pain recruited him for darker purposes. Yūra became the body for the Shapeshifting Technique, transforming into a replica of Itachi Uchiha. Naruto took him down with a Great Ball Rasengan, and Zetsu devoured what was left.
