Murr is a wizard living in Western Country. He used to have a reputation as a brilliant philosopher and inventor, but that all changed when the Great Calamity happened—it literally shattered his soul into pieces. Shylock found him and raised him from the ground up, which totally transformed who he was. The proud, intellectual guy he'd been became someone way more playful and cat-like in personality.
Here's the weird part though: the moon is what caused his soul to shatter in the first place, yet he's still deeply in love with the Great Calamity. It's the kind of complicated attachment that defines a lot of his character.
