Lancer's true identity is Uesugi Kenshin, born Nagao Kagetora. She's known as one of Japan's greatest warriors—the Daimyo of Echigo during the Sengoku period and later called the God of War. Kenshin claimed to be an avatar of Bishamonten and spent her life fighting with unwavering righteousness through the chaos of the Warring States.
She appears alongside Toyotomi Hideyoshi in a brief scene from Tsukumo's perspective during a Holy Grail War.
