Ruby is one of the four dukes of the Tearmoon Empire and an 'Etoiline', like Esmeralda Greenmoon, Sapphias Bluemoon, and Citrina Yellowmoon.
Ruby has a strong crush on the current captain of the Princess Guard, Vanos, which she developed following him saving her when she fell off a horse. In the present timeline, she works as an adjutant to Mia's Princess Guard, and has become rather close to Mia.
Ruby is incredibly athletic, being the complete opposite of Esmeralda. She is also quite skilled with a sword, something she choose to learn even though it was optional for female members of the Redmoon family. Due to wishing to be raised more like her brother's, Ruby doesn't wear clothing that one would expect a noble girl to wear, instead choosing to wear more masculine outfits. She also likes to keep her hair short, similar to Mia, instead of growing it out.
