Hakumen is a towering samurai warrior cloaked entirely in ornate armor, his face completely concealed behind an impassive mask. He carries a sword—a Nox Nyctores called Ookami—that's nearly as tall as he is. The guy is *seriously* dangerous. Players are regularly warned to approach him cautiously, and sometimes told to avoid him altogether.
His power comes from the Susano'o Unit, the armor he wears, which essentially fuels him with limitless energy. The Ookami blade is what really sets him apart though—it can kill immortals and beings with rapid regeneration, making him a threat whether he's facing ordinary people or far more powerful entities.
Interestingly, Hakumen seems to view nuclear weapons as a greater evil than the Black Beast itself. That's a weird take, but there's logic to it: the Black Beast devastated everything but left behind seithr, which became the energy source for civilization. Nuclear weapons just annihilate and irradiate—they leave nothing useful behind.
He's legendary as the "Silver Knight" who showed up during the First War of Magic and commanded the Six Heroes (himself included) in their final battle against the Black Beast. After they won, Hakumen told everyone to straighten up and change their ways, but instead of sticking around, he got exiled and sealed away in a place called "The Edge" at the boundary between worlds for about 90 years.
