The archetypal eager younger member of the eyeglasses club, he's basically obsessed with his upperclassman Akira and joined the club specifically to be useful to him. His admiration runs deep enough that he occasionally slips into a split personality thing, and he pushes himself hard partly because he wants Akira to actually need him. When he first got to school, his glasses were pretty uncool, but he ended up picking out new ones with Akira—a moment that clearly meant a lot to him.
He gravitates toward under-rim cel frames, and his eyesight's pretty rough: 0.08 in his left eye and 0.4 in his right.
He doesn't really vibe with Hayato, mainly because Hayato has normal vision and just doesn't fit the club's whole thing. He'll occasionally rib him with pranks, treating him more as an outsider than a real member.
