Roze is the deuteragonist of the Sky Striker story, based on the Yu-Gi-Oh! card "Sky Striker Ace - Roze."
In the manga, she's a genetically engineered human created by the Pillars of Spectra specifically to match Raye in combat. While Raye's Sky Striker equipment is far superior to anything AI can handle, it requires a human pilot—so the Pillars designed Roze to level the playing field using the same tech. As Roze develops her own personality, though, her creators see her as a liability and attempt to replace her with clones named Azalea and Camellia. This pushes Roze to compete even harder against Raye, but she eventually realizes where her true loyalties lie and switches sides.
The anime takes a different angle: Roze is simply a girl raised and weaponized as a soldier in a conflict fought mostly through drones. She's one of the rare humans actually fighting on the front lines. Everything changes when she encounters another human doing the same thing on the opposing side—Raye.
