She first encounters Mu Chen in the Spiritual Road during an attack. He saves her life, and the experience stirs up feelings she interprets as weakness. Determined to eliminate what she sees as a vulnerability, she decides to kill him. Mu Chen, however, proposes a deal: if she can catch him within six months, he'll let her do it.
The six-month chase becomes a turning point. By the time she finally corners him with her sword drawn, she realizes she can't go through with it—she's fallen in love with him. Looking back on those months of pursuit, she recognizes that Mu Chen's fearlessness and confidence in battle gave her the strength to face her own struggles.
