Sailor Heavy Metal Papillon is the fifth and final Animamate, appearing only in Act 49 of the manga (she's completely absent from the anime). Her name blends "Heavy Metal" with the French word for butterfly—papillon—which in Japanese culture symbolizes the soul. Interestingly, the Materials Collection artbook drops the "Heavy" entirely, just calling her Sailor Metal Papillon.
She hails from the planet Cocoon, and like the other Animamates, likely killed its original Sailor Senshi to earn Galaxia's approval. According to the Materials Collection, she can manipulate fire and uses an attack called "Galactica Scales," though the manga never actually names it. On a stranger note, she's also described as a parent and samba dancer with notably high sex appeal.
Despite only one appearance, Sailor Heavy Metal Papillon is actually the de facto leader of the whole group. She operates as the "soul hunter," guarding a graveyard at the galaxy's center surrounded by butterflies—the trapped souls of dead Sailor Senshi whose crystals Galaxia stole. Her job is making sure they stay put.
When Eternal Sailor Moon, Sailor Kakyuu, and Chibichibi arrive, Papillon shows them their prepared graves, binds them with vines, and prepares to incinerate them. The rescue comes fast: Sailor Chibi Moon and the Sailor Quartet burst in, shattering the vines with "Pink Ladies' Freezing Kiss," then finish Papillon off with their combined "Amazoness Jungle Arrow."
