Shrieker is a frog-like Hollow with retractable bat wings on his arms. He's memorable as the fourth Hollow Ichigo defeats and notably the second one to actually share his backstory with the protagonists.
What makes Shrieker stand out is his intelligence and cunning. Unlike mindless Hollows driven purely by hunger, he was apparently a murderer even before becoming a Hollow—something he reveals as part of his psychological games. He's ruthlessly manipulative; he dangles false hope in front of Yuuichi Shibata by promising to resurrect his mother if the kid can avoid him for three months, all while planning to massacre everyone connected to Yuuichi anyway. During fights, he plays dirty too, threatening to detonate Yuuichi's cage to keep Chad from pursuing him while he hunts down Rukia.
