Tager was a military unit leader until a crippling wound during the Ikaruga Civil War forced him to step down. Kokonoe brought him back as a massive cyborg, and he's been utterly devoted to her ever since. His new form—towering and intimidating—earned him the nickname "Red Devil of Sector Seven," and yeah, he looks genuinely unsettling to most people. But despite the fearsome appearance, he's actually composed and pragmatic, only resorting to violence when it really matters.
Since his revival, he's taken up hunting again. His main target is Hakumen, with Ragna as a secondary priority. In the true ending, he and Kokonoe attack the NOL headquarters while Ragna's already breaking in.
In Continuum Shift, Kokonoe sends him after Noel Vermillion—specifically to bring in the real wielder of the Azure Grimoire. By the true ending, he's escorting both Noel and Makoto Nanaya out of Kagutsuchi.
