A former woodcutter from Seiki who won't stop calling himself Taikobou's disciple—though Taikobou definitely didn't agree to that at first. He managed to change the guy's mind by saving his life, and the two ended up traveling together anyway.
He's pretty genuine and straightforward as a person, doesn't pretend to be anything he's not. What's weird about him is his senses are basically superhuman: perfect 10.0 vision that picks up infrared and works in complete darkness, hearing and smell that put humans to shame, and he can literally run across water. When he gets emotional, his combat ability spikes dramatically—enough to actually hurt senin, which shouldn't be possible for someone at his level.
Before all this, he's held just about every odd job you can imagine: elephant trainer, bird breeder, you name it. He's a tennendoushi, so that versatility probably came in handy.
