I-pin is a Hong Kong assassin who only speaks Chinese. She's introduced as a five-year-old who can't speak Japanese, but the story jumps ahead to show her as a fifteen-year-old—now called "Adult I-pin"—enrolled in a Japanese college. Despite being one of the most talented young assassins around, she eventually ends up working part-time at a Chinese restaurant about ten years later.
She's got a crush on Kyoya Hibari, partly because he reminds her of her former teacher.
When I-pin gets stressed out, she clings to whoever's nearby and a countdown timer literally appears on her head. Once it hits zero, she explodes like a bomb.
