Shinobu's the type of girl who's more graceful than sharp—a scatterbrained 15-year-old with generally rough grades across the board. She spent some time staying at Alice's place in England, though her English skills never really caught up with her enthusiasm for the language.
Despite being pretty bad at it, she's weirdly into English culture and is always trying to pick up the accent or mannerisms. She'll attempt reading English newspapers even though she barely understands them, and she's been known to eavesdrop on Alice and Karen when they're speaking English together, trying to figure out what's being said. It's one of those endearing things where her interest definitely outpaces her actual ability.
